A Bit About Me:
Hey everyone! I’m a first year medical student at the U of C. I signed up for MedCoach because when I applied to med school, I felt completely lost on how to prepare for the interview. Unsurprisingly, this tends to be associated with a lot of anxiety that can prevent you from doing your best. Every school is unique, and Calgary is arguably a stand-out in this regard. It doesn’t take much to prepare, but there are definitely tips and tricks to make the day a little less stressful!
I have extensive experiencing mentoring/tutoring/coaching etc in a variety of fields/age groups, both athletic and academic. My goal is not to tell you the correct answer (because there really isn’t one) but develop strategies for making the most of your time with any interviewer.
As for me – I was a previous national-level figure skater, and played soccer, swam, and learned ballroom and swing dance during my undergrad. I love joining different clubs to meet new people, because it makes campus feel a whole lot smaller! I recently made the move to Calgary for med school, so am happy to answer any questions about moving to/living in the city as well.
Where I can help you most:
Discussing strategies for Top 10, Confidence, Speaking Skills, and prepping for the new MCAT
