My Bio
Ashley - Dalhousie
MedCoach
Hey! My name is Ashley, and I am a medical student at Dalhousie University. I grew up in various places, including England and New Brunswick, but have been living in Halifax, Nova Scotia for the last 6 years. I completed my undergraduate degree at Dalhousie University in Microbiology & Immunology, then spent two years working in the field of infectious disease and vaccine research. Outside of the lab, I'm an avid runner, cycler, gardener, and baker!
Having just gone through a successful application cycle, I have accumulated some great tips and advice for navigating the med school application process, the CASPer exam, interviews and generally staying balanced throughout the process. I believe that the key to composing a stand-out application, from the supplementary essays to the interview, is telling your story in an authentic and cohesive way, drawing from your life experiences and the lessons you've learned along the way. By helping you identify and highlight your strengths, I believe I can support you in reaching your goals.
I know the application process can be long and arduous, so feel free to reach out for coaching support or to ask any questions you may have about any step of the process. If my available times don't exactly fit your schedule, feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to find something that works well for both of us. All the best!
