My Bio
Jenny
McGill
Hello there!
My name is Jenny and I am currently a third-year medical student at McGill. I completed my Bachelors at the University of New Hampshire, where I majored in Biomedical Sciences (honors curriculum). I also earned a MSc. at McGill prior to starting to medical school. As an undergraduate, I was heavily involved in research and thus wanted to solidify my accomplishments with a graduate degree prior to medical studies. I have honed my communication skills by presenting at numerous conferences across the United States and my outgoing personality has earned me many leadership opportunities. Outside of academic extracurricular activities, I am also an athlete (most recently, a Martlet for McGill Track)! My passion for athletics has lead me to pursue many projects engaging underprivileged youth with exercise. Coaching/teaching has always come naturally to me; I’ve been a teaching assistant for life science labs, and mentored kids as part of community outreach programs from employment at the Massachusetts General Hospital. As an outgoing and analytic person, I am confident I can help you be more loquacious and confident in being yourself! Best of luck in the application process!
Because I am in clerkship, I am no longer as available as I was during med 1 and 2. Therefore, my schedule is often closed, the time I am allowed to go home varies depending on rotation and on my staff, making scheduling difficult for anything else. I open my schedule sporadically, but please do not take any offence if I dont respond or if I can't make time to meet. I try my best!
