My name is Simran and I am a family medicine resident physician at the University of Toronto. I have completed my medical school training at U of T and went to Western for my undergrad in general sciences. I understand how overwhelming applying to medical school may be, and my goal is to help you navigate that journey. I genuinely care about the success of each of my students and will work together with you to make your dreams a reality.
I have been passionate about teaching for as long as I can remember – outside of MedCoach I also teach English over Skype to vulnerable communities in Brazil and Vietnam. In my spare time I enjoy playing musical instruments (flute and piano) and have given music lessons to children of low income families. As the founder of a non-profit charity to help provide educational resources/supplies to schools in need worldwide, my overall mission is to make education more accessible.
As a result I have tons of teaching experience, including interview preparation, and can help you practice and build the confidence you need for your interview. I hope to see you succeed and live your dream of becoming a future MD one day!
I applied to schools in Ontario (University of Toronto, University of Ottawa, McMaster University, Queen’s University). I have interview experience at University of Toronto, University of Ottawa and was accepted into both schools in my third year of undergrad.
