A bit about Jarred: I am currently a medical student at McGill University. I am interested in coaching because I strongly believe I can be of great help to medical school applicants given my great knowledge of the application/selection process. I applied straight out of CEGEP (2015) to every Faculty of Medicine in Quebec (McGill University, Université de Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke, and Université Laval). I was fortunate enough to both be invited to the interviews and accepted at all four universities to which I applied. Just as my older brother (who is also a medical student) helped me through the application process, I hope you will give me that same privilege to help you!

*I am completely bilingual and would be more than happy to coach in French

  1. Jarred helped me understand what went wrong during my last MMI and gave me useful tips on how to not make the same mistakes, and on how to properly answer different prompts. He also put me at ease quickly and he was very nice.

  2. Jarred was very helpful ! He was great at communicating to me the most important things to know about the MMI’s and really gave me a sense of what to expect on the interview day. It was through Skype so we had a few technical issues (lag, sound), but we got through it. It is surprising how quickly one hour passes by. We unfortunately did not have much time to discuss things pertaining to me personally (my strengths, my weaknesses, what to improve on, etc) so the session was just a brief overview of the interview process.

  7. I had a session with Jarred. He is really well prepared and give specific feedback to foster the candidate confidence and tailored to its needs. If I could give only one point of improvement to Jarred performance would be to ask about the own assessment of the candidate level before starting a session.

By knowing exactly on which points to put an emphasis by starting ,his comments would only be more effective. Overall, this is an amazing coach! What struck me the most was his professionnalism. He was able to maintain a very productive meeting and I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about improving their craft. High five for Jarred!

  8. Jarred is very professional at coaching. He gave me concrete feedbacks and many useful tips that will help me succeed at the MMI. I gained confidence practicing with him as I learned how to be more like myself.
Jarred is also a great actor. His mock interviews were intense, and I was nervous for sure. During the feedback, he would talk at length about the general approaches, what to watch out for, and some redflags to avoid. I had hoped to talk a little more as well, but 1h is short, and Jarred is mostly talking. In any case, I noticed improvement from practicing with him. I would definitely recommend him!
