My name is Julia and I am first year McGill medical student. Before starting medical school, I completed a BSc in Honours Cell and Molecular Biology at Concordia University. Throughout my bachelor’s and beyond I have been highly involved in many areas of research and have worked in hospitals and clinics which has offered me the experience that helped me along my path to medicine.
Getting into medicine was a rigorous process but a very rewarding one, and through coaching I hope to be able to offer any advice and encouragement that will help you find your success as well! I have friends and family to thank for helping me along the way, in addition to the numerous medical workshops and seminars for students which I am grateful to have attended. I did not have a personal mentor to guide me throughout my application process but would have truly appreciated that as an invaluable tool, which is why I am offering my knowledge to give back to our future doctors and dentists.
Having interviewed at both McGill and Ottawa University in both English and French has allowed me to gain perspective on how tackle applications for these schools. I truly enjoy teaching and have both coaching and tutoring experience at the university level.
There is no simple magic formula to enter medicine/dentistry and we each have our own set of skills and experiences that make us unique. Through coaching I can help you tailor your skillset to demonstrate your greatest qualities!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. Good luck and all the best on your applications!
