A bit about yourself: I’m a first year resident in Family Medicine. I attended McGill medical school. Prior to medicine, I culminated my 16 years of piano studying in a Bachelor of Music degree. Aside from music, I am a lover of fitness, yoga, global health and photography!
My past coaching /teaching experiences include:
– “MedCoached” 17 students in the recent application cycle; 30% acceptance rate
– Student Ultrasound Instructor with McGill
– Piano teacher for inner city children in Montreal
– Advisor for the West Africa AIDS Foundation – Queen’s Chapter
– Peer Mentor with university counselling services
– Dance teacher of various styles
– Yoga instructor
Now that I have completed my medical degree, I would like to share my knowledge with the pre-medical students who are actively trying to improve and push themselves to be the best they can be. Based on my own experiences, I really value the importance of mentorship in shaping a person’s career, and I hope to have the chance to guide someone on the right path
I applied for McGill medical school as an out-of-province applicant (originally from Toronto. Represent! #6ix), and Ottawa medical school.
I received acceptances from both institutions on my first try!
During that time, I was in my 5th year of undergrad degree – finishing up my second undergrad degree in Bachelor of Sciences.
