My name is Megan and I’m a medical student at the University of Toronto, St George campus! Going to medical school is such an exciting journey but can be overwhelming and this is where I come in to help you all along the way! I know it can be scary and overwhelming but having had some great mentors and coaches myself helped me to get to where I am today.
A little bit about myself, I did my undergraduate at the University of Ottawa in Biomedical Science in Ottawa where I am from originally. There I volunteered at the Children’s hospital of eastern Ontario for a number of years, worked in a soup kitchen and completed research in diabetes and metabolism. I enjoyed all of these experiences so much and these played a big role in my desire to pursue medicine. Some other important parts of my life and what I do for wellness are playing soccer, running and baking. I am also a huge dog lover 🙂
In terms of my medical school application experience, I applied to the schools in Ontario (except NOSM) and was interviewed at both Ottawa and Toronto. I am happy to help out with any part of the application process and I would love to work with you! Don’t be shy to set up a time to start our medical school mentorship journey together!
