Application/Interview Experience:

Queen’s

Coach Bio

Hi! My name’s Nicole and I’m a first year student at Queen’s med school. I graduated with a BSc from Dalhousie and spent the year after graduation working for a non-profit. In that year I spent a lot of time preparing for my interview by reading books, practicing with friends, and working with a MedCoach!

My biggest challenge was building up the confidence to answer questions thoughtfully and comfortably. What helped me the most was doing lots of practice and building on the feedback that I received from friends and my MedCoach. I truly believe that anyone can ace their interview by putting in the time and effort to practice.

Getting an interview is already a huge accomplishment and my goal is to help you feel prepared, confident, and deserving of a spot in medical school!

  1. Nicole was very helpful! I booked a session with her after she graded my practice CASPer. She gave me great advice and strategies to use on my CASPer, some of which can be used in interviews as well. She also provided a variety of practice problems to work through together.

  3. Nicole gave me great advice for the CASPer and took the time to review the practice test I had done before the session. Moreover, she could properly assess my answers in French since I was doing the test in this language. An excellent coach!

    1. I just had my first session with Nicole this evening to practice panel and MMI questions, and would gladly recommend her to anyone else prepping for med school interviews! Nicole was incredibly personable and gave me so many great pointers and feedback for all of my responses. She showed up prepared, on time, and even sent me away with some readings. Overall great to work with and very encouraging and positive — I highly recommend booking a session with Nicole if you want to boost your interview confidence!

  6. I am grateful for Nicole’s help in my preparations for the MMIs.
Before our session, she took the time to ask me what my goals were in order to tailor the session to my needs and interests. Throughout the session, she gave me detailed and helpful feedback, always in a kind and professional manner. This session certainly helped build my confidence for the actual interviews, and I would recommend Nicole as a coach for anyone who wants to prepare for the MMIs/Panel. Nicole also provided me an extensive list of other problems to practice with on my own following our session.
    Thank you again, Nicole!
