Application/Interview Experience: OttawaU, US Schools (Interviewed and accepted at Central Michigan)
Hi! My name is Travis and I am entering my second year at uOttawa Medical School. I am from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and completed my undergrad in Biochemistry in the United States. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I worked as a private tutor in calculus and as a teaching assistant for anatomy and physiology courses. I really enjoy assisting other students develop new skills that they could use to approach new problems in their courses, and I hope to apply my teaching experiences while assisting students in becoming competitive medical school applicants. In my application year, I was consistently looking for resources that could assist me in developing an approach for my application and the interview process. I enrolled in a course through MedCoach as a student, and I was lucky enough to be helped by an excellent coach who could assist in building my confidence to ensure I could perform to the best of my ability in my medical school interviews. I am extremely thrilled to now have the chance to work with students that were in the same situation that I was not too long ago. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions at all, as I would be happy to help! As I have applied and interviewed to medical schools both in Canada and the United States, I will also be able to help out with questions pertaining to the AMCAS application process if this pertains to you.
