My name is Victor and I am currently a first-year medical student at McGill! Before I started medicine, I was in the DMD program at McGill, and before that I did my undergraduate degree at McMaster in the Bachelor of Health Sciences Program. I know that applying can be very stressful, and often the success comes from the support around you!
When I was applying, the people who helped me the most were the ones that had gone through the same process as me because they were able to relate to my situation. This is why I am a MedCoach, I want to help you achieve your dreams and give you the most support I can.
The reason why I chose to pursue medicine was because of the ability to form longitudinal relationships with patients. I have always wanted a career where I can critically think and problem solve, but also a career that involved me interacting with people and building relationships. I also love clinical research, and I have done a lot of work around autism and improving wait-list times within the healthcare system.
If you have any questions or just need to talk, feel free to reach out! I wish you good luck and success in your applications!
Living in Montreal has helped me improve my French by a lot and I am willing to have bilingual sessions (i.e. in both languages) if it helps with your applications as well!
