Hi! My name is Mariam,

I am a medical student at Université de Sherbrooke. Before getting admitted, I completed a bachelor's degree with a major in biology. Some of my passions outside of school include advocacy work, baking and exercising.

As you have probably realized, the process of applying to medical school in Canada is not easy! I am not afraid to say that I was not admitted after my first application process. As someone who has been through this process more than once, I gained a really good understanding of what medical schools look for and how to improve on different parts of the application!

Trying to navigate this process all alone was a mistake that I made early on in my journey. One of the most important changes I made during my most recent application process was reaching out to mentors like those at MedCoach. Having a mentor by my side made my journey that much easier. After being admitted, one of my goals was to help other students achieve their dream of starting medical school.

As your coach, I would love to be by your side on this journey. Whether that be to answer questions, share my experience or practice interview skills! My goal as your coach is to help you through the most difficult steps of this process and to help you bring your strengths and unique qualities to the front of the table!
